Wholeness – Most Important Thing Ever! — Part 3

December 31st, 2009

Quantum physicists and all the great masters of meditation have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is one Awareness constantly actualizing (creating) the universe that is being observed, meaning that the aware observer and what is being observed are actually opposite (reciprocal) sides of the same coin! According the book The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe by Lynne McTaggart actual scientific experiments have proven that the mind can to a certain extent influence matter at its quantum level. Mind (which descends from consciousness) according to whatever belief system it has adopted, is constantly evolving and manifesting specific events (creations) from an infinite field of all possibilities (a fifth dimension).

Consciousness (pure being or the great “I Am that I Am”) may seem to be but is not limited to the brain and physical senses alone. The origin of mind and consciousness may seem for all practical purposes to come from the brain (as it is taught by conventional physiologists), but its ultimate origin seems to be in the realm of quantum physics’ “zero point energy field.” How do I know this? Because too many events of a paranormal nature such as out-of-body experiences (where the viewer observes actual events miles away) constantly go on that cannot be explained by the “brain only” theory of consciousness. Old ideas of consciousness need to give way to new ones. It may be that the actual roots of one’s soul is found in the higher (5th, 6th and 7th) dimensions beyond all time and space and is an essential and deeply embedded foundation of universal existence. Consciousness is so fundamental to existence, that without it, there can be no existence!

Only the physical life is dependent on the physical brain, the physical eyes and other physical senses, however the spiritual or universal observer (one’s real self or soul) is perceiving through a universal multidimensional matrix (hologram) of the mind itself and whatever thoughts and feelings influence that universal mind is most definitely going to effect the way the universe around it is being observed (created) or experienced. Mind creates what is observed, while Awareness (God) is what creates the mind. An experience of cosmic consciousness happens when the limited ego, desires, mind, breath and senses shut down causing one’s individual soul to merge into its greater Self, true nature or reality of existence. Such an experience is that of great wisdom, wholeness or overwhelming love, spirituality, peace and fulfillment. By continuously releasing (renouncing) each and every emotion, desire, and/or tendency, one gradually becomes freer and freer to live in and enjoy such profound states of wholeness or happiness, profound knowledge, and well-being as cosmic consciousness.

It is a lie that one must look outside one’s self to satisfy desires. The joy that most people search for externally is right where one is. Too many of us are like empty shells trying to decorate, color and patch the “outside” selves while completely ignoring the vital truths and reality of the inner soul or spirit. Materialism is the lifestyle based on the lie that one must find happiness outside one’s self through physical achievements, making money, social status, in this or that person, etc. The ever-growing complexity, pressures and speed of society has contributed to so much stress. Having too many choices, too much stimulation and information overload can also drive one crazy. One can actually only concentrate on one thing at a time, but the high pace of modern day living often demands multitasking while causing an overflow of unfulfilled frustrations.

For every desire one tries to fulfill, many more come up, and it is all too easy to feel there is so much lacking in this world and not enough good things to go around. No wonder there is so much frustration and anger! It is a major and common misconception that everyone is here to find happiness through the fulfillment of desires of which endless searching, and endless suffering can be the only actual result. It is impossible to find permanent satisfaction in this highly inefficient way as long as desires and fears are there to keep one in an unpleasant state of being. The main purpose of desire (not intention) especially sexual desire is to keep the individual separate from God so that the “centrifugal” process of evolution of the species can continue resulting in endless rebirths, suffering and constant restlessness.

However, internally remove (renounce or transmute) all desires (including sensual), fears and attachments, only ever-increasing levels of peace, happiness, spirituality, and fulfillment can remain. One’s sense of frustration and separation from God (pure Being) is replaced by a beautiful, glowing ecstasy, and a sense of unconditional love and calmness. I know this fact for sure, because I am experiencing it! Unlimited happiness with no sorrow is our very basic nature, the real natural state of wisdom before being encumbered by the desires and fears of the senses and ego (illusion of separation from God).

Desires (attachments), lusts, and fears (aversions) not only frustrate or block vital spiritual energy, they also have a powerful unbalancing effect on the mind, making it nearly impossible to feel whole as long as they exist. To free one’s self completely from all desires, lusts, and fears and then to become fully balanced and centered in wholeness is the key. Desires (fears) work through the mind to create barriers and limitations of all sorts. The individual already has unlimited power and spirituality, but that power is usually being wasted away (diluted) in all sorts of conflicting thoughts, worries, fears, attachments, addictions and sexual desires.

“As a man thinketh in his heart so is he…” (Proverbs 23:7)

Depending on the individual concerned, what one eats can also be a huge factor in this equation, because the quality of one’s diet can affect one’s emotions tremendously. There are certain vital nutrients one needs to enjoy the deepest possible states of wellness and profound inner peace which in turn can be used to manifest a much more fulfilling life. I mean the healthiest diet imaginable with all the adaptogenic herbs, minerals, trace elements, vitamins, and antioxidants that could possibly be of benefit. I leave nothing out, no stone is left unturned.

Are you already forming your life according to your overall state of mind? Because the individual is the observer, being the reciprocal of what is observed, the individual is creating all the time whether he or she knows it or not everything one observes (experiences). The individual is often creating (demonstrating) both desirable and undesirable effects exactly according to one’s state of mind and level of wisdom. Hence, it is vital to train one’s mind to drop all its desires and fears (which create separation, limitation and attract negative experiences) so that one can live in harmonic oneness and experience ever deeper and deeper states of inner peace, spirituality and wisdom while attracting into one’s life only those things that are beautiful and positive.

“According to your faith be it unto you.” (St. Matthew 9:29)

On a certain website, one can actually listen to a very long recording of St. Matthew speaking through the direct voice medium Leslie Flint about this very subject, as well as how difficult it is to describe the after death state, and how the human spirit in today’s world is bogged down by materialism and dogmatic beliefs. St. Matthew says, “Man is no more than what he thinks.” and, “You will loose self and then find your true Self.” and, “The world is an illusion that man has created.” Whether you believe it’s actually St. Matthew or not, is irrelevant right now: regardless of who’s saying it, it all completely and absolutely illustrates the kind of free-thinking, knowledge and spiritual wisdom of wholeness! St. Matthew knows “The Secret” and so will you.

The universe is so perfect that if one sees any imperfection in it, it must mean that one’s way of seeing (observing) it is also imperfect. “…with what measure ye mete, It shall be measured unto you again.” (St. Matthew 7:2) Perfect your mind, and you will perfect your life!

Another great soul who manifested through the ectoplasm of Leslie Flint was Rabindranath Tagore, the famous Indian poet and philosopher written about by Paramhansa Yogananda in Autobiography of a Yogi. Knowing fully well that all people everywhere are the product of their own thinking, he mentions we all have the ability to change our physical circumstances with the help of thought. He said: “We are the product of all our creative thought no more and no less… All depends on the individual thought process… Think only pure thoughts and your whole life will be transformed.” He also tries to give an amazing description of the high plane of existence he lives on. Everything there gives one a feeling of perfect life, love and beauty.

Whatever way to wholeness works best for you is your way. Achieving wholeness is a very complex, life long spiritual process, and it is regarding this process I feel a need to share with you all the different ways I have discovered to be helpful so far. It is very important to remove all one’s negative feelings, fears and desires. What we feel can have an awesome quantum effect on one’s life, health, relationships and degree of success.

My knowledge will change and evolve as I get closer and closer to the actual components of how best to find wholeness or perfect joy with no limit and no end. For lack of better words, this would have to mean finding union with God (Goddess) or one’s True Self which is, as best as I know, the very basis of spirituality. All the separate sparks of consciousness within all life forms are streams and rivers of light trying to flow back to the one ocean of pure spirit, wisdom, and love.

Turn Your Life Around With Mindfulness

December 11th, 2009

Mindfulness is an increasingly popular concept that is taking hold in the self-help and medical worlds. There is a great deal of interest in mindfulness practice among western clinical psychologists and psychiatrists as a natural way to reduce stress, anxiety, and chronic pain.

Mindfulness is awareness of one’s current thoughts, actions or motivations. It has roots in Buddhism, but the modern interpretation of mindfulness is a secular one that is not connected to any religion.

Mindfulness is the ability to intentionally create a “present moment” awareness without applying our personal filters or lenses of judgment to a situation.

We may do damage to our personal or business relationships when we’re quick to interpret events and interaction with others with an emotional response. The goal of mindfulness is to be open and non-judgmental about what’s happening externally as well as any emotions that are arising internally at the present moment.

When we move our awareness from thoughts about the future or past into the present moment, we are practicing mindfulness. The more frequently we can live in the present, the more peace we find in our inner and outer realities.

Our internal peace comes from the ability to notice and then quiet the self-talk or chatter going on in our mind. Once we become aware and tune into our mind chatter, it can be shocking to realize how much judgment and commentary is being produced there!

By the simple act of noticing the mind chatter, we have the ability to analyze it or stop it. We can observe the thoughts without judging them or ourselves for having them.

Thoughts are just that. They may not have any connection to reality or intent. If we understand that thoughts can be released, we can let go of the ones that are not positive, productive, or truthful.

Problems arise in our inner and outer realities when we get trapped by negative or untruthful self-talk. This happens when we react to our mind’s commentary without analyzing it first. Many of our thoughts may not be truthful or helpful to us in any way.

To be present in the moment, we should also be a witness to the positive and beautiful thoughts and sensations we experience. We can bring awareness to our breath, to the cool wind, to the warm water we bathe in, or to the complex taste of the food we eat.

When we approach our thoughts and emotions with curiosity as they come and go, we take control of our mind, instead of letting our mind take control of us.

Is There a Real Substitute for Meditation?

December 5th, 2009

I’ve come to understand the amazing benefits of meditation.

I’ve seen TV news specials about schools that have incorporated meditation into their curriculum, causing student’s grades and test scores to sky-rocket. I’ve also read about major corporations that believe in meditation. They feel it’s so important for good performance that they hire meditation consultants to teach their workers and even pay employees for time just to meditate.

I’ve asked my mentors what has really helped them move to the level of success they enjoy today. And you guessed it, meditation was their answer. Phil Helmuth, one of the world’s best poker players even attributes his success to the practice of meditation!

Because I know its value, I want to be able to practice meditation successfully too. I have tried for years, but to this day I am still NOT able to meditate.

I spent some time trying to troubleshoot my meditation problem. Does it go back to my formative years? Did I spend too much time playing video games as a kid?

I’m not sure of the cause, but the reality is that my mind is just too active to meditate. You see, my brain works like CNN. I have one reporter delivering the news and an additional ticker tape of information flowing across the bottom of the screen.

But despite my meditation failures, I am very fortunate to have been able to achieve incredible results in my life using an alternate technique.

This technique was actually a tremendous gift that I received from a close friend of mine. This is a friend who also had limited success meditating. He introduced me to an effective technology called brain wave entrainment.

Brain wave entrainment allows one to manipulate the brain state with very little practice and a rapid learning curve. It’s generally accomplished with audio soundtracks. The audio has been modified to manipulate the brain into the desired state. So if you can listen to audio, you can change your state of mind. And if you are hearing impaired this effect can also be created with specially designed strobe effects.

So why am I telling you about changing the brain state in an article on meditation? Because whether you realize it or not, the holy grail of meditation is the theta brain wave state!

When you are barely conscious (just before sleep or right after waking, for example) your brain waves are in the theta state. This is the middle ground between the conscious and the subconscious world, and also the goal of meditation.

When you get into the theta state, but can remain conscious, you have the ability to access and influence your subconscious mind. This is extremely important because the subconscious mind is much more powerful than the conscious mind.

So, getting yourself into the theta brain wave state on a regular basis in order to influence your subconscious mind is the secret to manifesting change and positive results in your life.

In fact, before we were able to measure brainwave patterns in the human brain with machines, people were using entrainment to induce a theta state. The chanting of monks, the drumbeats of Native Americans, and the hypnotic state created by a campfire are all examples of brain wave entrainment.

Success and Peak Performance: 8 Essential Tips

December 4th, 2009

To achieve peak performance you must insure that your mind and body are functioning at the highest level possible. This is how we define and achieve “success” as individuals. Our differences are many due to genetics, culture, personal experiences, and ambition. But we are similar in that we need care and nurturing for optimal mental, physical and emotional health. You can’t depend on others to provide the care that is so essential for your well-being—you must take responsibility to provide it to and for yourself. Find every way possible to incorporate the following tips to achieve your personal peak performance:1. Be Present & Listen -Practice presence and awareness in every moment of every day. The past and the future do not exist except as concepts and ideas in your mind. The only true reality is what you are experiencing right now in this precise moment. When you are present, you have the ability to listen clearly to others and to your own body, thoughts, and intuitions. Being present allows you to learn about yourself and the people, places, things, and ideas that make up the world. It’s the first step to making permanent improvements to your life.2. Seek Help When Needed -None of us were born with all the answers to every situation or problem. If you feel “too proud” or ashamed to seek help from others, you are letting your ego get in the way of personal development. This is dangerous and potentially very stressful. As difficult as it can be to trust others, you simply can’t do everything in life by yourself. Seeking assistance from others also opens up the opportunity to form new and unexpected relationships.3. Show Gratitude & Kindness -Successful people always remember to say “thank you” and to acknowledge those who help them. This leadership by example reinforces kind behavior as the expected standard. Giving genuine compliments makes you feel great and spreads joy to the receivers of your compliments. Express yourself honestly but remember that it’s always better to be kind than to be right.4. Take Time to Relax -Scheduling time to do something peaceful that you enjoy is critical for mental renewal. It could be sitting quietly with a magazine, taking a walk, going fishing, writing in a journal, etc. This time is a gift that you give yourself. Without some quiet time in your life you can’t listen to your inner thoughts and feelings. This space away from the crowd allows you to evaluate, meditate, and consider where you are heading in your life.5. Eat & Drink for Life -It is said we should “eat to live, not live to eat”. Food is essential to your health, but should not become an obsession. The food and beverages that go into your body affect you as powerfully as any drug. Consider drinking plenty of water and eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, and lean meats. Avoid excessive alcohol, sugars, and fats. When any particular food or beverage makes your system upset or causes you to be emotionally moody or agitated, avoid it.6. Exercise Regularly -Getting at least a half hour of exercise 4-6 times a week should be a top priority in your life. This is as good for your mental health as it is for you physically. Exercise makes stress vanish and enhances your endorphin production, leaving you feeling rejuvenated. Consider a morning trip to the gym, taking a walk on your lunch hour, or doing lunges and squats while on a break or conference call. Be creative about ways to get physical activity into your life.7. Get Enough Sleep -Sleep gives your mind and body the opportunity to heal itself and restore vital energy. Proper sleep also improves mental function and fat loss. You should try to get between 7-8 hours of sleep per day in a consistent sleep pattern. If you have trouble sleeping, avoid eating or exercising 2-3 hours prior to bedtime. Always settle into your sleep by allowing a half hour to quietly read, write, or listen to sleep-inducing audio. 8. Stay Positive & Focused -Allow time each day for positive reinforcement to keep you focused and motivated on manifesting your dreams and goals. This could be reading, writing, or listening to affirmations; reading or listening to inspirational materials; meditating, focusing on a vision board, or viewing a meditation video program, for example. How would you like to manifest your ideal life by tapping the power of YOUR subconscious mind? Mind Power–the Incredible Strength of the Subconscious

December 3rd, 2009

A child once asked God, “God what’s a million dollars like to you?”

God said, “Son to me a million dollars is like a single penny.”

The child said, “God what’s a million years like to you?”

God said, “Son to me a million years is like a single second.”

The child thought for a minute and said, “God can I have a million dollars?”

And God said, “Sure you can son, wait just a second.”

Many times I have asked the universe to deliver my desires to me. I have assumed that the universe was not hearing my request because those specific desire did not exist in my life. Shame on me, wait just a second.

I had an interesting experience this morning. As I was about to get on a tractor to start planting food for the wildlife on my property, I looked at the sunrise, smelled the air, heard the crickets, and was overwhelmed with déjà vue.

Déjà vue has always been an interesting phenomenon to me. In the past I’ve been able to let my rational mind put déjà vue in the “this can’t be God basket” that I confidently named Coincidence.

But this morning was different. The déjà vue stayed top of mind and my rational brain pondered, “I wonder what this is all about.”  Of course my rational brain immediately starting throwing out answers that seemed believable but just wouldn’t gain traction.

As the day progressed I began to “zone out” to the hum of the diesel engine and the monotony of traversing the same ground over and over. I reached a deep trance state and unbeknownst to me at the time, clarity was forming in this alpha state of consciousness.

I had to re-fuel the tractor and this re-direction brought me back to an alert state. Then it hit me like a tornado in Oklahoma…  The déjà vue I experienced was eerily similar to the vision that I had maintained years ago while trying to manifest the land I desired.

I went home that night and pulled my written goal file. In 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002 I wrote the following:  “I am grateful that I own 400 acres of land dedicated to wildlife habitat and management in the Arkansas River Valley.”

From 2003 forward this goal was no longer written. I reflected on the information that was contained in this file and the following occurred to me:

I am hypnotized by society’s cry that we should have everything right now. Trying to force our goals can cause us to become frustrated and lose our vision. It is absolutely possible to live in “the now” and to manifest for the future simultaneously. There is massive value in allowing our subconscious mind to answer significant life questions. I am convinced that putting our vision into the subconscious mind always pays massive returns.

As I went to bed that night I wished that the wheat I planted for the wildlife would germinate quickly and provide forage this fall.  Of course as I started to drift into that alpha state I heard, “Wait just a second.”

Change Your Subconscious, Change Your Life!

November 26th, 2009

It is truly amazing how hard some people are working in today’s world.

Just the other day I spoke to a friend who spends two waking hours a day AWAY from work! Furthermore, the poor guy only sleeps 5 hours a night. I assumed, of course, that he loved what he was doing and he must be getting the results he was after. But I asked him anyway.

I was very surprised to find out that what he really wanted was to work less, and to live on the beach with his family. I was shocked to hear this because I knew that there was nothing that was keeping this man from living the life he wanted.

For the next thirty minutes I heard plenty of “story” (a kind word for excuses) about why his dream life was not possible for him. He had been working himself further and further away from what he really desired. So what keeps people from living the life of their dreams? The answer is very simple, ignorance.

Now before you (or my friend) think that I am referring to him as stupid, I’m not. In fact this particular man is one of the brightest people that I know. The ignorance that I refer to is the lack of knowledge of a fundamental principle. The principle is this: how the subconscious mind works and how it dictates the results that we are getting in our lives.

Have you ever felt that no matter how hard you tried to achieve something that there was some type of obstacle between you and the end game? Sometimes it seems that the harder we try, the further we get from our goal. This is the subconscious mind at work.

If your subconscious mind believes, for instance, that the world is a scarce place and that there is not enough for everyone, your results will be scarcity-based. Now before you get defensive and say, “but I really believe that the world is not scarce – yet I’m not tapping into the abundance!” realize that what you are really saying is “my CONSCIOUS mind believes the world is not scarce, yet I’m not tapping into the abundance.”

It is very difficult for us to know what the subconscious mind believes. We can only infer what our subconscious believes based upon the results that we are currently getting in our lives. So no matter how hard we work, we will continue to get the same results.

What is important is not how hard we work, but what we work on. If we can change what the subconscious believes then we will begin to get different results!

This begs the question, “How do I change the underlying beliefs of my subconscious mind to assist me in getting what I desire?” There are several ways that one can communicate directly to the subconscious. Some of the most popular are hypnosis, meditation, psych-K, brainwave entrainment, affirmations, vision boards, visualization, and subliminal messages.

Remember, the subconscious mind is very powerful. It is the mind that remembers to breathe and make our heart beat. In order to get the results you desire, put the subconscious to work for you. Do not continue to let it work against you. This is truly working smarter, not harder – enjoy the beach! How would you like to manifest your ideal life by tapping the power of YOUR subconscious mind? Outraged by the Law of Attraction?

October 25th, 2009

All the recent discussions about The Secret and The Moses Code have created quite a stir.

The two contain teachings based on The Law of Attraction – which is essentially holding positive thoughts in your mind until they become part of who you are. These positive thoughts then cause positive results to manifest into your life. Who would have thought that such a simple idea could be so divisive?

The controversy usually stems from people who want to dismiss The Law of Attraction as something of a hoax. People ask: “Where is the proof?” or “If it works, why is there pain or poverty in the world?” or “Why am I not rich? I want to attract money.” These same arguments have been made against God or organized religions by non-believers for ages.

If you are one of those people who is outraged or upset by publicity surrounding The Law of Attraction, I challenge you to do the following:

1. Read the book by Protestant minister Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, The Power of Positive Thinking, first published in 1952 and sold 7 million copies.

2. Go back and re-read The Secret or watch the DVD.

Here is the conclusion that you should arrive at after completing this assignment: Right thinking leads to right actions which lead to right results.

The Power of Positive Thinking teaches us that if we consciously focus on positive thoughts and outcomes, these results are more likely to show up. Wow, what a novel idea! Does that sound a lot like The Law of Attraction? Did the critics cry, “Outrageous… shame on you Dr. Peale…blasphemy…”? No, they bought 7 million copies of his book.

What we have learned since Dr. Peale’s book was first published over 50 years ago are some shortcuts to impressing our desires on the subconscious mind. One of the incredible shortcuts we have discovered is called brain wave synchronization or brain wave entrainment.

Brain wave entrainment allows us to present a frequency to the brain in the form of sound or light and causes brain waves to match that frequency. Now brainwave entrainment is not new, but it has become more effective since the advent of electroencephalography (EEG) machines that allow us to see brain wave frequencies changing during entrainment.

What makes brain wave entrainment so spectacular is that it can be used by nearly everyone. It requires little or no training, and it is very inexpensive to obtain. There are many CD’s or instant downloads available online to manipulate your brain wave state for improvement in learning, sleep, relaxation, meditation, heightened awareness, and manifestation. These manifestation or Law of Attraction programs typically involve taking your brain into a meditative state and then exposing it to subliminal, audible messages or affirmations.

Get The Dream, LLC has created a breakthrough technology that takes brain wave entrainment a dramatic step further. They created an audio/video program that combines an electronic vision board with an integrated brain wave entrainment audio track.

Get The Dream product soundtracks take the listener into a meditative state which makes the subconscious mind more receptive to receiving instructions. At just the right time, the visual portion of the program exposes the subconscious mind to desirable images and affirmations. The viewer/listener is then returned to an alert state of mind to carry on with their daily activities. The entire program lasts for approximately 20 minutes.
